Jim founded REC in Illinois over forty years ago, and co-founded REC in Colorado, serving as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Broker for both companies. As an expert in commercial real estate development with a lifetime sales volume in excess of one billion dollars, Jim consults with clients in the areas of asset repositioning, sales and leasing. Previously, Jim held positions at a global insurance company where he serviced the company’s billion dollar real estate portfolio and a railroad where he managed sales, leasing and the appraisal of railroad-owned land and buildings as well as the acquisition of right-of-way as required for railroad use.
Alexander co-founded REC and meets the transactional needs of clients throughout the United States. Previously, Alexander held positions at a California-based tech company where he developed a market entry strategy into the Asia Pacific region, and at an oil company in the Middle East where he generated solutions to complex legal issues ranging from international mergers and acquisitions to land use permit compliance. Alexander was the president of his MBA Student Association while in business school and, prior to law school, Alexander was an award-winning adaptive ski instructor. Alexander is regularly sought out by legal, accounting and banking institutions for his expertise on commercial real estate matters and is a regular contributor to commercial real estate publications.
