How Colorado Cities Perform Compared to the 400 Largest in the U.S.

According to the Milken Institute, Denver and Fort Collins rank among the best-performing metropolitan areas of 2021. Best-performing is defined by using metrics such as job creation, wage gains, and high tech GDP growth. Not surprisingly, metropolitan areas like Austin, Salt Lake City, Boise, Phoenix and Nashville also made the list as the highly educated are increasingly drawn to second tier cities in the south and west.
